GeekWave
I had the distinct pleasure helping The University of Utah’s UteCast program set up their newest podcasting arm, GeekWave, as their Social Media Manager. GeekWave covers the pop culture beat, encapsulating numerous interests including video games, movies, and books.
With Myree Alsop, I developed the recurring man-on-the-street series, Myree Asks. The episode, “Favorite Halloween Movie” won the Grand EPIC for Best Video, one of the highest awards at the university’s student media department’s end of the year awards ceremony. The episode garnered 4k views on Instagram’s Reels tab, only outpaced by the episode, “Favorite Holiday Movie Pt. 2” at 12k views.
